09/26/2023 – Rockley continues to make rapid progress towards noninvasive glucose sensing using its proprietary silicon photonics platform. The technology platform enables short-wave infrared (SWIR) spectroscopy to be translated to a miniaturized, wearable form factor capable of making noninvasive biomarker measurements in humans. Through a combination of benchtop sensor verification with both simulated human skin and during preliminary human studies, Rockley has engineered the SWIR platform to measure glucose.

10/19/2022 – Rockley Photonics announced that it completed an IRB-approved human study measuring blood pressure that utilized its non-invasive, cuffless biosensing device, currently under development.

05/10/2022 – Rockley Photonics announced that the company has successfully completed its preliminary human study measuring hydration levels using Rockley’s non-invasive biomarker sensing platform. Rockley has also created a new hydration index for reporting relative hydration levels with the potential to simplify the complex process of measuring personal hydration.

11/18/2021 – Rockley Photonics formed a strategic relationship to incorporate Rockley’s non-invasive biomarker sensing platform into potential clinical and healthcare research studies. Rockley will be working with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY, part of the Mount Sinai Health System, for potential collaboration in future research studies.
